He does a good job on the defensive side of the ball. "He was fortunate to have many good receivers to throw to and Luke did a good job of getting the ball to them. "Luke did a good job of running the offense this year," Southeast coach Mitch Gebhardt said. He also has a great understanding of blocking schemes and could quickly diagnose how the offense was attacking him. "He is incredibly strong but where he’s made the most headway as a player is his technique with is hands and feet. "He was awfully good for us his first three years but we really felt he took it to a new level this year and was just flat dominant at times," South coach Sam Sellers said. Dietz was a second-team All-Ark Valley Chisholm Trail League Division I pick with 56 tackles, 15 of them for a loss, two sacks, two forced fumbles and a fumble recovery. He's making his second All-County team after being selected as an offensive lineman and a defensive lineman as a junior.
