Lately, Eric has been more involved with assisting in the development of MDA's API capabilities, especially as location specific weather forecast and actual data becomes more critical to agricultural interests. He works with clients across various industries from energy to agriculture to weather derivatives.
Previously an operational meteorologist, Eric is now responsible for assuring the quality and procurement of all weather data that comes through MDA's doors. He has been employed with MDA for over five years, following his graduation from Penn State University in 2009 in with a BS and MS in Meteorology. Kyle is a frequent speaker at agricultural conferences, both in the United States as well as Europe, and leads MDA's annual crop tour of the Midwest each summer.Įric Wertz is the Manager of Weather Data Solutions at MDA Information Systems LLC in Gaithersburg, MD. Kyle also contributes to seasonal forecasts and is responsible for daily phone consultation with industry traders. He contributes to CROPCAST®’s full suite of agricultural weather products and also aids in generating production estimates for major agricultural commodities. Kyle is responsible for generating daily weather forecasts for major crop areas around the globe with an emphasis on how weather conditions affect agricultural commodities. He has been employed with MDA for five years, following his graduation from Penn State University in 2008 with a degree in Meteorology. Kyle Tapley is a Senior Agricultural Meteorologist at MDA Information Systems LLC in Gaithersburg, Maryland.
